Data Deletion and KVKK Requests

1. What can be deleted?

After verification, usage and preference records, content progress, transition history and other service records linked to your device identifier that are not legally required are deleted or anonymized.

Deleting the app may remove local data, but you must separately request deletion of the anonymous session records on our server.

2. How to apply

• If you can access the app, open Settings → Legal and information → Manage My Data to submit a server-data deletion request directly. Your device code appears there too.
• If you cannot access the app, or for other KVKK rights, email destek@birnefes.app with subject ‘Bir Nefes Data Deletion Request’
• Include your device code if available, platform and scope
• Only necessary and proportionate verification information may be requested

3. Processing time

We resolve requests as soon as possible and KVKK applications within 30 days at the latest. We notify you by email when complete or if more information is required.

4. Records that may be retained

Records required for tax, accounting, consumer transactions, fraud prevention, disputes or other legal duties may be retained with restricted use until the applicable period ends.

Because payments are processed by App Store or Google Play, store-account and payment-history deletion requests may need to be sent to the relevant store.

5. Effects of deletion

• content history and preferences may not be recoverable
• in-app support and thank-you records are deleted; the store’s transaction records remain subject to that store’s policies
• using the app again may create a new anonymous session

6. Written application

You may send a signed KVKK application to our company address instead of email. Include full name, contact details, request subject and device/support code when available.
