Terms of Use

1. Parties and scope

These Terms govern the Bir Nefes mobile app, birnefes.app and related services provided by ContraWorks.

Downloading, using or purchasing through the app means that you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2. Purpose of the service

Bir Nefes offers a brief spiritual-awareness experience before user-selected distracting apps. It may show Quran verses, hadiths, the Beautiful Names, reflection prompts and learning questions.

Bir Nefes is not a medical, psychological or religious advisory service, nor an addiction treatment. Content is provided for general information and personal awareness.

3. Eligibility and children

The app is not specifically directed at children. Users under 18 should use it, especially purchasing features, with the knowledge and permission of a parent or guardian.

4. Anonymous use and device session

The app can be used without an account through an anonymous device session. A random identifier is assigned for service continuity. Device changes, deletion of app data or operating-system restrictions may require setup again.

Purchases may be verified through the store account and server entitlement records. Use Restore Purchases for supported products.

5. Permissions and device features

Android may use Accessibility Service, app visibility and required system permissions; iOS may use Screen Time and FamilyControls. These permissions are used only to run the Bir Nefes experience before selected apps.

You can remove permissions in system settings. Removing them or technical platform limits may partly or fully disable app pausing.

6. User responsibilities

Access may be restricted temporarily or permanently in cases of abuse.

not abuse purchase records or technical vulnerabilities
not submit misleading requests or infringe others’ rights

7. Free use and Premium

New device sessions may receive 14 days of unlimited introductory use without payment details. This is not a store subscription trial and does not become paid automatically. Afterwards, one free pause per day remains across selected apps.

Premium may be provided through monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscriptions. Current price and period are shown by the App Store or Google Play before purchase.

8. Content, sources and intellectual property

Rights in the software, design, brand, compilations and original content belong to ContraWorks or their respective owners. Users receive only a personal, limited, non-transferable, non-commercial licence.

Quran verses, translations and hadiths belong to their respective sources and rights holders. Attribution does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

Reasonable care is taken with religious sources, but translation, spelling, formatting or numbering differences may occur. Our sourcing and correction process is explained on the Religious Content Sources page.

9. Service availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or identical operation on every device. Features may change because of maintenance, security, law or store rules.

Subject to mandatory law, ContraWorks is not liable for indirect losses caused by user device settings or third-party platform outages.

10. Changes and termination

Terms may be updated when the service or law changes. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page. You may stop using the app and request data deletion at any time.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Mandatory consumer rights and access to competent consumer authorities and courts remain unaffected.
